The Senior Systems Administrator will manage and support the organization's on-prem infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup systems. This individual will serve as a Senior escalation point for complex issues, contribute to operational stability, and lead or support infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
-Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2012-2022).
-Manage VMware virtualization across ~800 virtual servers and ~1,000 virtual desktops.
-Oversee enterprise storage systems (Pure Storage) and backup environments supporting ~1 PB of data.
-Troubleshoot and resolve Tier III escalations, including application slowness, system outages, and storage performance issues.
-Collaborate with network, telephony, application analysts, and end users-including physicians and clinical staff.
-Participate in infrastructure projects (30-40% of workload).
-Provide on-call support one week per month as part of a rotating schedule.
-Work onsite at the Savannah data center with occasional flexibility for remote work.
-Operate with minimal direction; proactively identify issues and drive solutions independently.

Required Qualifications
-5+ years of experience in systems administration, storage, and virtualization.
-Experience with enterprise-class storage arrays and backup technologies.
-Strong VMware and Windows Server experience
-PowerShell scripting familiarity.
-Bachelor's degree preferred.
-At least 1-2 relevant technical certifications (VMware, Microsoft, storage-related) within the last 5 years preferred.
