Description
We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team in Daytona Beach, Florida. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming institutional data into actionable insights by developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports addressing key institutional priorities such as enrollment, retention, workforce, academic performance, and operational metrics.
Develop measures, calculated columns, and data models within Power BI to ensure reporting accuracy and performance while adhering to approved data definitions.
Respond to ad hoc reporting requests submitted through the organization's service management platform, delivering timely and well-documented outputs.
Collaborate with the Director and institutional stakeholders to translate business questions into structured reporting requirements.
Conduct regular quality assurance reviews of existing reports to ensure accuracy amidst changes in underlying data structures or processes.
Support the design and maintenance of Power Query dataflows that extract and transform data from enterprise systems, such as Jenzabar, Canvas, Paycor, Navigate, and Element451.
Write and maintain queries to extract data from source systems for reporting and dataflow development.
Document and govern data assets, ensuring proper definitions and accessibility for institutional reporting needs.
Assist in the development and management of pipelines that facilitate data integration into the business intelligence environment.
Requirements
Proficiency in business intelligence technologies, including Microsoft Power BI.
Strong knowledge of DAX technologies and Power Query for data modeling and transformation.
Hands-on experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Jenzabar, Canvas, Paycor, Navigate, and Element451.
Ability to design and maintain Power BI dashboards aligned with strategic priorities.
Expertise in translating business questions into actionable reporting requirements.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and documenting processes.
