Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior SQL DBA for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a high-pressure, high-volume role for a Senior DBA with strong design, performance, and troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate will join a team supporting multiple high-profile applications, responsible for completing various projects, including a large-scale migration from SQL 2016 to SQL 2022. The position involves on-call responsibilities and requires proactive stability maintenance in a complex environment.
Responsibilities: - Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex databases, often using new technologies
- Manage multiple, moderately complex projects and direct team activities related to special initiatives or operations
- Support projects, including large-scale SQL 2016 to SQL 2022 migrations
- Provide ongoing support for core business functions
- Perform frequent troubleshooting and proactive stability maintenance
- Handle on-call responsibilities and after-hours work as expected
Requirements: - 10+ years of experience with SQL Server Administration
- Viewed as a subject matter expert for the team
- Experience with AlwaysOn performance and tuning, including for large high-tier environments
- Comfortable using Query Store for troubleshooting
- Strong experience with MS SQL, SSDS, SSRS, SSIS, and Linux
- Excellent troubleshooting and project experience
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite
Desired skills: - Experience with Splunk, Redis, Dynatrace, or TigerGraph
- Knowledge of other RDBMS
- Prior experience in the banking industry
Pay range: $55.13 - $63.13 per hour
