Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Orlando, Florida for a Software Engineer supporting the F35 Pilot Training Devices Program. As a career hire on our Software Engineering team, you can help us take on the world's most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
Position Responsibilities performed under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects:
Continuously contributes to the creation of design solutions that address complex engineering problems across the full software cycle.
Develops operational scenarios, based on the customer's goals and contractual requirements.
Develops system requirements and architectures to ensure customer needs and contracts are appropriately translated into the products development cycle.
Incrementally develops the product design and delivery optimization requirements. Act as a core member of a multi-disciplinary team that represents all capabilities within DevSecOps, directly supporting software development and integration activities for the program.
Leverages Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) to support the development of functional, architectural, and detailed designs. Incrementally develops design to provide added or updated functionality based on operational scenarios and customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's level degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related technical field.
Software Lifecycle experience with a software intensive system.
Experience with Object Oriented Programming and GitLab
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired skills
Working knowledge of C++, Linux, Windows, Python/bash scripting
Working knowledge of Agile, automation, Atlassian tool suite, Docker, Ansible, Nexus, AWS, Kubernetes, Vagrant, Packer, Terraform
Working knowledge of Model Based Engineering (MBE), DOORs, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody
Prior Aircraft or Flight Training and Simulation Experience (F35, F16, F22, C130, etc.)
Experienced working with multiple F-35 engineering teams (e.g., MS, VS, WPNs, I&T, Environments)
Familiar with current F-35 Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and the pacing threat that drives employment techniques
Familiar with F-35 Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) conventions
Working knowledge of the JSF Mission Planning Environment (MPE)
Familiarity with tactical datalinks, weapon systems, communication systems and sensors
Experience on large scale flight simulation systems
Demonstrated experience with High-Level Architecture (HLA), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), or related simulation technologies

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $62,700 - $110,630. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
