Job Title: Software Solutions Architect - Rhapsody Developer
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid - 2 days onsite/week)
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Solutions Architect - Rhapsody Developer to support the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions within a healthcare enterprise environment. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performing data exchange systems while ensuring data integrity and interoperability across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop integration solutions for new and existing systems
- Build interfaces based on business and technical requirements
- Develop system design documents and technical specifications
- Create custom filters and components using Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK)
- Develop and manage message mappings using EDI tools
- Write and maintain JavaScript (v1 and v2 filters) within Rhapsody
- Develop and consume APIs (SOAP, REST, Web Services)
- Perform data transformations (HL7, FHIR, CCDA, XML, JSON, flat files)
- Support CDA mapping and data conversion processes
- Prepare SDLC documentation and participate in code reviews
- Establish and manage database connections (MSSQL/Oracle)
- Configure communication protocols (TCP, HTTP, LLP, OAuth)
- Implement security measures including encryption and certificates
- Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine (7.x)
- Hands-on experience with Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and XML
- Experience with HL7 v2.x messaging and HL7 FHIR standards
- Knowledge of CDA standards and healthcare document formats
- Familiarity with healthcare vocabularies (LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm)
- Experience with Health Information Exchange (HIE) frameworks
- Experience implementing integration solutions using industry standards
Technical Expertise
- Data transformation across multiple formats (HL7, JSON, XML, proprietary formats)
- Web services and integration protocols (SOAP, REST, TCP, LLP)
- Security protocols including TLS and certificate-based authentication
- API development and real-time data exchange systems
