Position Summary ECS Federal is seeking a motivated recent college graduate to join our Contracts, Procurement and Pricing team as an AI Business Integration Intern. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge business operations with emerging artificial intelligence technologies. The successful prospective intern will be able to understand the nexus of business and computer science and will collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for incorporating AI solutions into daily workflows and partner with the Business Systems team to document requirements and explore innovative possibilities.
Key Responsibilities - Analyze current Contracts, Procurement and Pricing processes to identify opportunities for AI integration and automation
- Collaborate with team members to understand pain points and workflow inefficiencies that AI solutions could address
- Partner with the Business Systems team to document functional requirements for potential AI implementations
- Research and present "art of the possible" concepts demonstrating how AI could enhance departmental operations
- Support the development of business cases for AI-driven process improvements
- Assist with preparing data and conducting preliminary analysis for AI/ML initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather input and share findings
- Create presentations and documentation summarizing recommendations
Required Skills Education: - Bachelor's degree in Business , Economics, Computer Science, or related field (recent graduate)
- Coursework in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, or related AI applications
Skills & Knowledge: - Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical business applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Self-starter with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Desired Skills - Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, SQL)
- Familiarity with process documentation and requirements gathering
- Exposure to the needs of business and how to create ROI in the business
- Coursework or certifications specifically focused on AI development
