Job Details

A rapidly growing retailer is building out its network operations and infrastructure team to strengthen connectivity and performance across corporate and store environments. This role will play a hands-on part in supporting network design, re-IP initiatives, firewall deployments, and automation efforts that directly impact the business’s scalability and uptime.


Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing A/V network expansion and verification across multiple sites

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco switching environments (C90-200 series, StackWise)

  • Manage routing protocols (OSPF), VLANs, and QoS configurations

  • Assist with Palo Alto firewall deployments and Panorama templates

  • Support connectivity for Crestron devices across 30+ conference rooms (video, touch panels, etc.)

  • Configure and support wireless access points and Meraki systems

  • Monitor and maintain network health using tools like LogicMonitor, Datadog, Zabbix, or SolarWinds

  • Implement network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

  • Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to support hybrid networking in Azure and AWS

  • Document network changes, policies, and procedures for future standardization


Key Result Areas

  • Maintain reliable and secure network connectivity across environments

  • Support lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and escalation response

  • Onboard and manage devices in monitoring and automation systems

  • Contribute to network optimization and automation initiatives

  • Uphold security best practices and zero trust principles


Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering (on-prem + cloud)

  • Proficiency with Cisco switching and routing, Meraki networking

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, subnetting, and routing

  • Experience configuring firewalls (Sophos, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, or Firepower)

  • Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform, or NetBox exposure)

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

  • Preferred certification: CCNA
