This position requires exceptional leadership capabilities to manage a team, foster collaboration with stakeholders across procurement, hardware, architecture, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) teams, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The successful candidate will lead by example, implementing best practices in software and hardware asset management and lifecycle activities while driving compliance, optimizing license management, and building an accurate, reliable record of software assets to meet industry standards and operational excellence.

  • Oversee software entitlements and licensing to ensure compliance with organizational and industry regulations.
  • Develop, update, and maintain ITAM policy and procedural documentation to reflect best practices and changes in operational requirements.
  • Provide strategic planning for the ITAM program to address future software needs, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Create and deliver bi-monthly reports to the Deputy Director and conduct quarterly updates to the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO).
  • Leverage expertise in ITAM tools and processes (e.g., ServiceNow SAM/HAM Pro) to maintain and enhance the ITAM platform's accuracy and usability.
  • Monitor inventory levels of software and hardware assets, analyzing data for process improvements and compliance adherence.
  • Perform regular audits of product models and software entitlements to identify discrepancies and ensure program integrity.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvements, ensuring efficiency in software and hardware lifecycle management and compliance tracking.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience including 6+ years in Software/Hardware Asset Management, with proven leadership experience managing a team.
  • Strong understanding of IT software and hardware licensing principles, software and hardware lifecycle, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow SAM/HAM Pro or similar ITAM tools, including configuration and reporting.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic plans, policies, and procedural documentation.
  • Ability to present complex technical data to senior leadership clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
