Job Title                                  : Database Engineer/ DBA

Location                                 : Sunnyvale, CA/ Austin TX (Onsite)

Rate                                         : $65/c2c or $57/w2 (All Inclusive)

Relevant Experience (in Yrs.): 8+

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Database Engineer/DBA to manage, optimize, and support highly available Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL production environments.

Responsibilities:

·         Administer databases, including performance tuning, replication, clustering, patching, and upgrades.

·         Monitor database health, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root-cause analysis.

·         Manage backups, point-in-time recovery (PITR), failover, and disaster recovery.

·         Automate database maintenance, monitoring, and operational tasks using scripts.

·         Support on-call operations and maintain database documentation and runbooks.

Must-Have Skills:

·         8+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, and production support.

·         Hands-on experience with Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

·         Expertise in database performance tuning, replication, high availability, backups, and disaster recovery.

·         Experience in production troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (RCA), and on-call support.

·         Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Python/Shell scripting.
