Teradata DBA

Role: Teradata Database Administrator
Experience: 8+ years
Long Term Contract 
W2 Role
Remote role

Responsibilities:
·       Install, configure, and maintain Teradata databases and related infrastructure
·       Monitor system performance, query optimization, and workload management (TASM/TIWM)
·       Manage space, user access, roles, and security profiles
·       Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations (ARC/BAR)
·       Collaborate with developers and data teams to tune SQL and data models
·       Handle database upgrades, patching, and migrations
·       Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability
Required Skills:
·       Strong expertise in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT
·       Experience with Teradata utilities: ViewPoint, Teradata Studio, TDCH
·       Knowledge of Teradata architecture (nodes, AMPs, PEs, parsing engines)
·       Familiarity with Unix/Linux and scripting (Shell/Python)
·       Understanding of ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts
Good to Have:
·       Teradata Vantage experience
·       Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with Teradata on cloud
·       ITIL / ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
·       Medicaid knowledge
