IT TechnicianPosition OverviewTEKsystems is seeking an IT Technician to support system upgrades, device imaging, and end-user technical assistance across several sites. This role focuses on building and deploying new hardware, supporting operating system transitions, and providing hands-on troubleshooting for desktops, printers, and phones. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Build, configure, and deploy new hardware as part of a large-scale operating system upgrade initiative.
- Perform imaging, installation, and rollout of Windows-based devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues for end users.
- Support account creation and adjustments within standard directory services.
- Install, configure, and support desktop, printer, and phone equipment.
- Upgrade memory, tag assets, and prepare devices for deployment.
- Work directly with end users after device build-out, providing clear communication and customer-focused support.
- Assist with application deployment and ensure systems are properly configured.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update tickets within the organization's tracking system.
- Collaborate with on-site and remote team members to support daily operations.
- Follow safety requirements and adhere to site-specific guidelines when working in industrial or technical environments.
- Travel between designated sites as needed.
Required Qualifications- Strong experience in Windows technical support, including imaging and device rollouts.
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with account setup and basic administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with end users.
- Strong customer-service mindset and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to be punctual, reliable, and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Willingness to work on-site full time and comply with safety requirements.
- Ability to travel between assigned locations.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with device deployment tools or imaging processes.
- Exposure to application support and basic network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with asset management and ticketing systems.
- Technical certifications or equivalent hands-on experience.
Additional Notes- Some environments require safety gear and adherence to grooming standards.
- Certain sites may require security clearance or identity-verification processes.
- This role involves both technical center work and support within industrial or operational environments.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Oregon, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
