Stantec's multi-disciplinary office in Alpharetta, GA has an opportunity for a highly motivated Chemical Engineering Intern.

Join our team as we create new ways to tap into water's vast potential. Stantec's Alpharetta, GA office has an opportunity for a Chemical Engineering Intern to join their Industrial Water practice. Stantec's Industrial Water team is a dynamic team of experts working across a wide range of industries including power, semiconductors, manufacturing, and food & beverage.
The successful candidate will:
Assist the local project delivery team with report and documentation preparation, project administration, and research assistance
Develop spreadsheet calculations to support team, including mass balances
Develop process engineering documents including flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), engineering lists, process data sheets, and performance specifications

Perform bench scale treatability tests onsite or in Alpharetta treatability lab
Write documents summarizing work performed
Meet schedule requirements
Perform site inspections, construction observations, start up and commissioning support, and report preparation
Assist with project permit applications, preparations, and processing
Assist with environmental permitting, monitoring and reporting
Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or process modeling software is not required but a plus
Highly motivated individual
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Must have valid drivers' license.

Education and Experience:

Must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited bachelor's or master's Chemical Engineering program.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

About the Team

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
