Staff Waterfront/Coastal Engineer

If so, we are seeking a motivated engineer to work on complex and exciting projects at locations throughout the Northeast.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

• Work on a variety of waterfront and coastal projects throughout the region.
• Learn new skills and perform engineering analyses and design.
• Perform field surveys and inspect existing structures.
• Perform computations, analyses, and modeling, and prepare design drawings.
• Take a key role in construction field inspections for activities such as pile driving, bulkhead wall construction, and other types of coastal work.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S or M.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent
• 0 to 2+ years of experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess a valid driver's license
• This position has a field component; travel and some overnight stays are required, and candidates should be prepared to work in inclement conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in waterfront/coastal engineering
• Structural steel, concrete, and/or foundation design course work or experience
• Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, programming, and modeling tools
• Passed the Fundaments of Engineering (FE) exam
