Job Description: Data Network Telecom Specialist Position Overview & Eligibility Requirements Our client is seeking a Data Network Telecom Specialist for a Contract-to-Hire initiative.
- Role Type: Contract-to-Hire (Eligible for conversion to a permanent Full-Time Employee [FTE] after the contract period).
- Location Requirements: Local only to the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area. This position is 100% on-site.

Experience Requirements Must-Haves: - Four (4) years of Cable Technician experience specializing in the installation and maintenance of digital computer systems, network peripheral equipment, or telephone station equipment and related systems. OR
- Two (2) years of dedicated experience acting as a Lead Cable Technician.
Plusses (Educational Substitution): - Formal education or technical training in a field related to electronics, telecommunications systems, or digital computer systems through a recognized trade union, technical school, or accredited college/university may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Service Coordination: Schedule and coordinate technical services (including repairs, hardware installations, equipment removal, and preventative maintenance) with third-party contractors, enterprise vendors, internal operational units, and supported public agencies.
- Project Management: Initiate, coordinate, and complete new deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and repair projects across all internal network equipment and remote sites, including the direct technical supervision of contractor and vendor resources.
- Hardware Maintenance & Asset Tracking: Install, remove, modify, maintain, repair, and log inventory for various mobile, portable, and hand-held communications devices, as well as core electronic infrastructure (e.g., routers, switches, video systems, enterprise printers/copiers, public address systems, televisions, facility security alarms, access control systems, surveillance cameras, and remote gate/fence communication hardware).
- Cabling Infrastructure: Install, repair, splice, test, and terminate multiple forms of telecommunications and electrical wiring/cabling (including copper, fiber, and coax) to guarantee proper impedance matching, signal integrity, and secure connections between infrastructure hardware components.
