This role supports the global template and phased regional deployments across North America, North Asia, LATAM, EMEA, and South Asia. The associate will help design, validate, and roll out end-to-end road transportation processes across LessThanTruckload (LTL), FullTruckload (FTL), and parcel modalities for outbound (Sales Orders and Stock Transport Orders) and inbound raw materials movements.
Engagement Model
- The associate will work within a global program team (IT + Business) and partner with regional deployment teams, carriers/3PLs, and SAP/implementation partners.
- The role requires strong coordination, structured problem solving, and hands-on SAP TM/BN4L knowledge to support solution design, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
Key Responsibilities
- Support global template design and configuration for SAP TM on S/4HANA Private Cloud and integration with BN4L Public Cloud.
- Document and refine road transportation processes for outbound (Sales Orders and Stock Transport Orders) and inbound raw materials.
- Enable and validate operational scenarios: standard outbound deliveries, customer returns, rush/expedite orders, premium freight, shuttle and droptrailer operations.
- Contribute to end-to-end process validation across: Transportation Planning, Carrier Selection/Tendering, Transportation Execution, Freight Settlement & Cost Distribution, and Own Driver Portal operations.
- Support carrier onboarding and connectivity via BN4L (collaboration, tendering/acceptance, tracking, event management where applicable).
- Assist in functional specification writing (e.g., FSDs, user stories), configuration workbooks, and interface/IDoc/API mappings in collaboration with integration teams.
- Plan and execute test preparation and execution: unit tests, SIT, UAT, regression testing; create test scripts and manage defect triage with clear root cause analysis.
- Support cutover planning and go-live readiness (data setup, master data validation, authorizations, monitoring, fallback procedures).
- Provide hypercare support, analyze incidents, and coordinate fixes/enhancements; maintain knowledge base and continuous improvement backlog.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (logistics, customer service, warehousing, procurement) to ensure process adoption, training, and change management.
- Ensure solution aligns with global governance: template adherence, regional deviations control, and documentation standards.

- Working knowledge of SAP TM business processes: freight unit building, planning/optimization, carrier selection/tendering, execution, and freight settlement.
- Understanding of road transport operations (LTL/FTL/parcel) including appointment/shipping windows, multi-stop planning, accessorials, and exceptions handling.
- Experience supporting end-to-end testing (SIT/UAT), defect management, and test documentation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications/user stories and process maps.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA logistics touchpoints relevant to TM (deliveries, shipments, transportation relevance, STO flows).
