Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solution Architect (Java or .NET) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are looking for a Solution Architect to own the technical roadmap for enterprise-level applications, leading the design and modeling of end-to-end solutions using Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
Responsibilities: - Act as the "North Star" for development teams, providing blueprints, coding standards, and architectural governance
- Translate complex technical "debt" and "innovation" into business-value language for C-suite and non-technical leaders
- Architect and oversee the migration/deployment of applications to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Evaluate and recommend third-party tools, frameworks, and libraries to enhance the development lifecycle
Requirements: - 10+ years in software engineering with at least 3+ years in a dedicated Architecture role
- Deep expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and the broader JVM ecosystem OR Expert-level knowledge of .NET 6/8+, ASP.NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps)
- Solid grasp of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and secure coding practices (OWASP)
Desired skills: - Experience with Legacy Modernization (refactoring monoliths into microservices)
- Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or TOGAF)
- Exposure to Agentic AI integration or high-scale data streaming (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour
