Overview:
Seeking an onshore techno-functional consultant to partner with PMs, POs, solution architects, and developers to design and implement a Commercial Real Estate (CRE) platform with emphasis on the Lease Administration module and integrations to Oracle Fusion Cloud (Lease Accounting/AP). The consultant will guide solution design, integrations, testing, and rollout to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-performing capabilities. Experience with systems such as Tango or Yardi and e-procurement (e.g., Coupa) is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead functional design and configuration of the Lease Administration module (e.g., Tango/Yardi), including lease lifecycle, rent schedules, CAM/operating expense reconciliation, critical dates, and controls.
- Design and implement integrations between Lease Administration and Oracle Fusion Cloud (Lease Accounting, AP/Payments, GL) for rent payments, ROU asset and liability entries, accruals, and straight-line rent.
- Elicit, analyze, and document requirements; translate epics/features into clear user stories and acceptance criteria; support the PO in backlog grooming and prioritization.
- Produce end-to-end process maps, data flow diagrams, and data models; define source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and validation checks.
- Collaborate with developers and integration teams (e.g., OIC, MuleSoft, Boomi) on API/file-based interfaces (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML/CSV), security (OAuth2), and error handling.
- Plan and execute functional verification, SIT, UAT, and regression testing; develop test plans and traceability with QA; support defect triage and resolution.
- Drive cutover planning, data migration/lease abstraction support, and hypercare; establish monitoring, reconciliation, and control procedures post go-live.
- Provide expert guidance on IT architecture choices impacting scalability, performance, and resilience; assist with troubleshooting and optimization.
- Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards (ASC 842) and internal controls (e.g., SOX); partner with Finance and Audit on reconciliations and reporting.
- Create high-quality documentation (BRDs, solution designs, test assets, runbooks) and deliver stakeholder training and knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications:
- 6–9 years in a techno-functional consulting or business systems analyst role delivering ERP/e-Procurement/CRE implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Lease Administration solutions (preferably Tango or Yardi) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials (Lease Accounting, AP, GL).
- Working knowledge of Coupa or similar e-procurement platforms and procure-to-pay processes.
- Solid accounting fundamentals with proven application to lease accounting (ASC 842), rent payments, amortization schedules, and month-end close.
- Strong Agile experience: requirements elicitation, user stories/ACs, backlog management, sprint ceremonies, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in data analysis and validation (SQL/excel-based reconciliations), process modeling (Visio/Lucidchart/BPMN), and data mapping.
- Demonstrated success in new system implementations and transformation programs, including testing leadership and cutover/hypercare support.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross-functional coordination; able to work independently and in team settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Commercial Real Estate domains (transaction management, capital project management).
- Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud, MuleSoft, or Boomi; familiarity with event/message-based integrations.
- Reporting/analytics experience (OTBI, OAC, Power BI, or Tableau) for lease and financial reporting.
- Background in capital project accounting and budget-to-actuals.
- Lease data migration/abstraction experience and vendor coordination.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
