Job Title: SharePoint M365 MVP Legal Document Management

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SharePoint M365 MVP specializing in Legal Document Management to design, implement, and optimize enterprise document management solutions for legal departments. The candidate will leverage Microsoft 365, Microsoft SharePoint, and related tools to build secure, compliant, and scalable document management systems tailored for legal workflows.

The role requires expertise in records management, governance, retention policies, and legal compliance, ensuring sensitive legal documents are managed efficiently across the enterprise.


Key Responsibilities

SharePoint & M365 Solution Architecture

  • Design and implement enterprise legal document management systems using Microsoft SharePoint Online.

  • Configure document libraries, metadata, content types, and information architecture.

  • Implement advanced search, document versioning, and document lifecycle management.

Legal Document & Records Management

  • Build structured repositories for contracts, case files, litigation documents, and regulatory filings.

  • Implement records management and retention policies using Microsoft Purview.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, legal hold, and eDiscovery requirements.

Workflow & Automation

  • Design document approval and review workflows using Power Automate.

  • Automate legal intake processes, contract approvals, and document classification.

  • Integrate with Power Apps to create legal workflow applications.

Security & Compliance

  • Configure role-based access control and document-level security.

  • Implement compliance features such as legal hold, audit trails, and document retention.

  • Support governance frameworks using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Migration & Integration

  • Lead migration of legacy legal document repositories to Microsoft 365.

  • Integrate SharePoint with document scanning, contract management, and case management systems.

  • Work with APIs and integration tools for enterprise systems.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk, and IT teams.

  • Translate legal operational requirements into technical solutions.

  • Provide training and best practices for legal teams using SharePoint.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Deep expertise in SharePoint Online architecture and administration.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

  • Experience with:

    • Power Automate

    • Power Apps

    • Microsoft Purview

  • Experience implementing legal document management systems.

Legal & Compliance Expertise

  • Understanding of:

    • Legal document lifecycle

    • eDiscovery and litigation hold

    • Compliance and regulatory requirements

    • Document retention policies

Preferred Experience

  • Microsoft MVP recognition for Microsoft 365 / SharePoint.

  • Experience working with corporate legal departments or law firms.

  • SharePoint migration tools and governance frameworks.


Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Microsoft certifications such as:

    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator

    • SharePoint or Power Platform certifications.
