Overview

We are seeking a Lead JDE Developer to support, enhance, and modernize our enterprise ERP and business systems environment with a strong focus on JD Edwards, manufacturing operations, and connected business platforms. In this role, you''ll partner with Enterprise Architecture, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to translate operational needs into scalable solutions that improve planning, execution, customer enablement, and decision-making.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone with deep JD Edwards development experience and a strong understanding of the business systems that support manufacturing organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of JD Edwards enhancements, applications, reports, interfaces, and integrations.
  • Translate business requirements across ERP, CRM, e-commerce, manufacturing, logistics, finance, reporting, and customer-facing systems into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, finance, and MRP-related business processes.
  • Develop and maintain JD Edwards customizations using industry best practices.
  • Build and support integrations between ERP and enterprise applications using APIs, web services, middleware, EDI, ETL, and other integration technologies.
  • Partner with architects, business analysts, functional teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendors, and developers to improve enterprise systems.
  • Support solution design, implementation planning, testing, deployments, production support, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, standards development, and application modernization initiatives.
  • Create technical documentation including solution designs, interface documentation, data flows, and support procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve integrations, automate manual work, and enhance ERP performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience developing and supporting JD Edwards in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems supporting manufacturing, inventory, procurement, supply chain, finance, CRM, e-commerce, and MRP.
  • Hands-on experience with JD Edwards development, configuration, reporting, and integrations.
  • Experience with enterprise technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Salesforce, RFSmart, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, SAP Concur, Vertex, HighRadius, ReportsNow, or similar business applications.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience.
  • Experience with APIs, web services, EDI, ETL, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application and integration issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a structured change management environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Technical leadership on JD Edwards implementations, upgrades, or large enhancement projects.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations including production scheduling, work orders, bills of material, routings, purchasing, inventory optimization, quality, warranty, and aftermarket parts.
  • Experience supporting ERP standardization, governance, documentation, and process improvement across multiple locations.
  • Interest in expanding into broader ERP, CRM, analytics, automation, cloud, and enterprise technology initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor''s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of ERP development, business systems delivery, or application support with significant JD Edwards experience.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, inventory, procurement, finance, CRM, e-commerce, reporting, or MRP experience strongly preferred.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based in New Braunfels, TX.
  • Occasional time spent in manufacturing environments.
  • Up to 10% travel.
