Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Rutherford, NJ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building and managing scalable CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerized environments. This role requires strong experience in DevOps practices, OpenShift, and microservices-based architectures, along with solid Java knowledge to support application deployments and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications
- Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications on OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms
- Collaborate with development teams to support Java-based microservices deployments
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
- Implement DevOps best practices for security, scalability, and reliability
- Support release management, version control, and environment configurations
- Integrate testing frameworks and ensure smooth deployment cycles
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
Required Qualifications (Mandatory Skills):
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
- Proven experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of Java applications and deployment pipelines
- Experience working with Microservices architecture
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, or similar)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization best practices
- Experience in banking or enterprise environments
- Understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments
