We’re seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy impactful solutions using the Axero platform. In this role, you’ll bridge business needs with innovative technical solutions, translating real-world customer challenges into working software and delivering meaningful results for our clients.

What you’ll do:
- Take ownership of designing and building end-to-end solutions based on customer pain points and requirements, as well as deploying and maintaining them in production-ready environments
- Serve as a technical partner to customers and internal stakeholders to design optimize solution
- Leverage AI-first development practices with Claude Code or Cursor to:
- Design and build functionality using HTML, Alpine.js, TypeScript, Lua, and REST APIs and automate workflows
- Develop integrations with enterprise systems and third-party services
- Build custom components, workflows, and extensions within the Axero platform
- Accelerate development and automate workflows
- Coordinate scalable AI-assisted development tools for manual tasks like documentation, change requests, testing, and automation
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and Head of Technical Strategy on strategic initiatives and platform improvements
What you’ll need:
- 2–3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with technical decisions around architecture, security, scalability, and user experience
- Strong full-stack development mindset and experience building real applications
- Experience working with HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web technologies
- Comfort working with REST APIs and external integrations
- Experience using Git and GitHub for version control
- Comfortable using AI-powered development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) effectively
- Comfort working with CLI commands and developer tooling
- Ability to translate customer requirements into working technical implementations
- Good eye for design, usability, and user experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions clearly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and presenting solutions to customers
- Basic security knowledge including secure API practices, secure coding principles, safely using external libraries and dependencies, OWASP best practices, SOC 2 security expectations
You’ll have done a mix of these:
- Translated business needs or customer problems into working technical solutions
- Built or integrated systems using REST APIs
- Debugged browser-side issues using developer tools and improved UI performance
- Built full-stack solutions that deliver real value to users
- Delivered projects in collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Extra credit for you
- You have used AlpineJS and/or Lua in real-world client applications
- Familiarity with SAML, SCIM, or enterprise SSO
- Experience building enterprise SaaS integrations
- Experience creating reusable UI components or developer tooling
- Experience working with AI-assisted engineering workflows
- You have worked in employee engagement, internal communication, or intranet platforms
- You have contributed to internal libraries or created reusable development patterns
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus

Target Start Date: Immediate
Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000
