Now Hiring: Lab Support and Inventory Control Specialist
Location: Union City, CA
Pay Rate: $27.00/hour + mileage reimbursement
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Looking for a hands-on laboratory support professional with inventory management experience? Join a fast-paced research environment where you'll play a critical role in laboratory operations, inventory control, procurement, and material management.
Job Duties
- Support scientists and research teams with daily laboratory operations
- Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, chemicals, gases, and materials
- Receive, store, distribute, and track inventory throughout the facility
- Conduct cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
- Process purchase orders, procurement transactions, and invoice resolutions
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and vendor service visits
- Support tissue culture shipments and laboratory logistics
- Prepare shipping documentation and handle hazardous materials in compliance with regulations
- Analyze inventory data and maintain accurate records
- Communicate findings and recommendations to laboratory stakeholders
Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of inventory control, materials management, procurement, or laboratory operations experience
- Experience working in a laboratory, GMP, production, or regulated environment preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience with inventory management systems such as SAP or similar platforms
- Knowledge of SOPs, inventory control practices, and documentation processes
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
