Role Focus
The role is intended to be a handson AWS Data/AI Engineer who will support the Enterprise Architecture organization by developing reference implementations.
Balance Between Architecture and Engineering
What is the expected to focus more on development (approximately 80% handson development).
Critical AWS Services
Key services include AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, AWS Bedrock, and strong proficiency in Python.
Programmatic AI Agents
The focus is on building agents that interface with existing APIs and data sources.
Data Engineering Tools
Airflow, dbt, Spark, Polars, and Pandas Clarification: These tools are preferred, not required.
Security Architecture Responsibilities
Expertise in areas like obfuscation, masking, encryption are nicetohave capabilities (NOT required).Mo

Strong AWS data services and Python skills including containerized deployments, preferred working knowledge of Airflow, dbt, and data processing packages (Spark, Polars, Pandas, etc) Experience with open data and file formats Intermediate experience with programmatic AI agents DevOps minded Plus for security experience including role-based application of obfuscation, masking, or encryption.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for defining computer, network, data integration, and software technology standards (Enterprise Architecture).
Responsible for the development of enterprise standards for technology ensuring long term operational effectiveness (supportability, reliability, scalability, and extensibility) and efficiency (long-term cost engineering and re-use).
Insures that business solutions fit into the enterprise architectural designs and strategies.
Aligns the various stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to enterprise technology environments.
Define and document the organization's Enterprise Architecture standards, target state architectures, and best practices that guide and influence architecture decisions.
Works to evolve technologies at the product portfolio level from legacy environments, using understanding of legacy systems to determine the correct migration path of Enterprise Architectures to the future state
Oversees POC (proof of concepts) activities and drafts whitepapers to inform key technology decisions and strategy;
Leads the development of architecture transition plans for moving from current to future state business, data, application and infrastructure models, within large cross-functional and complex business areas
Creates architecture roadmaps at the product portfolio level
Informs and communicates decisions and standards of the Enterprise Architecture practice to the organization, driving understanding and appreciation for the value of architecture governance and standards
Leads the development of architecture metrics and reporting to evaluate and communicate the achievement and impact of the Enterprise Architecture function;
