Summary

Join a high-impact program management team supporting the delivery of critical vehicle and hardware components for a major defense program. This onsite Project Manager role in Temple, TX offers the opportunity to lead cross-functional efforts, manage schedules and budgets, and help drive successful on-time delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day program activities supporting vehicle and hardware deliveries
  • Coordinate work across engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, contracts, finance, and other functions
  • Manage program schedules that combine multiple projects and contract deliverables
  • Track the flow of vehicles and hardware into the facility to support on-time delivery commitments
  • Monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance against program objectives
  • Identify risks and opportunities, then develop and execute practical mitigation plans
  • Prepare and present status updates for internal leadership, program reviews, and customer discussions
  • Support resource planning, project planning, and budget oversight
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of project management experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Background in planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to present project status clearly to leadership and stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong follow-through
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-moving environment
Preferred Skills
  • Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Master's degree with 7 years of experience
  • Project management certification such as PMP or PgMP
  • Experience with earned value management
  • Experience in military, defense, or government-related environments
  • Familiarity with managing high-volume supply chain operations
