Position: SAP APO Consultant – Fiscal Year Variant Conversion - Remote
Level: Senior / Principal Expert
Duration: Phase 1: 1–2 weeks (feasibility & LOE); Phase 2: 8–14 weeks (execution)

Details:
· Client is converting the fiscal year start from May to January (4-4-5 calendar structure retained on both sides) while running a parallel ECC carve-out
· APO is the highest-risk area, forecast data and planning structures are stored in time buckets that don''''t remap cleanly across the calendar shift
· Phase 1 is advisory: confirm recommended approach, resolve open design decisions (modify existing fiscal variant vs. create new), and deliver an hours/cost estimate before project kickoff
· Phase 2 is execution: extract/store data to Info Cube, de-initialize planning area (deletes time series), apply fiscal year variant change, re-initialize, reload data via /SAPAPO/TSCUBE, test through Dev/QA/Prod before go-live
· Must ensure synchronization across APO, ECC, and BW throughout
· Key risk to manage: misalignment of historical/future forecast data due to 4-week vs. 5-week month mapping
· Work directly impacts sales forecasting and AOP/FP&A planning downstream
Must-Haves:
· Hands-on SAP APO/SCM configuration experience
· Direct experience executing a fiscal year variant change in a live (non-sandbox) APO environment
· Specific experience with planning area de-initialization/re-initialization and time-series reload via /SAPAPO/TSCUBE
· Comfortable scoping/estimating effort and advising on approach, not just executing config
Preferred:
· Prior 4-4-5 calendar conversion experience
· BW/Info Cube exposure
· CIF (Core Interface) awareness for APO-ECC-BW sync
