Summary

About the Role:

The Intranet & Web Content Senior Specialist owns and evolves Baird's SharePoint-based intranet, a business-critical platform that enables associates to access information and collaborate effectively. This role leads governance frameworks, drives experience improvements, and partners across the firm to enhance navigation, usability, and adoption. This role also supports corporate website initiatives within Optimizely CMS, ensuring a cohesive and data-driven digital experience.

The Impact You'll Make:
  • Own SharePoint intranet platform experience: Maintain and evolve SharePoint intranet sites based on business unit and associate needs, ensuring a reliable, intuitive, and scalable user experience
  • Lead governance & content lifecycle management: Develop and own intranet content lifecycle standards, including freshness, archiving, and quality expectations; establish scalable publishing guardrails and governance frameworks that drive consistency and trust
  • Improve navigation & information architecture: Continuously refine intranet structure, navigation, and taxonomy to align with how associates access and consume information across PWM, Operations, and business units
  • Prioritize and deliver experience enhancements: Identify, scope, and implement improvements that increase usability, engagement, and efficiency across the intranet platform
  • Enable a decentralized content model: Train and support a network of 150-200 content owners, providing onboarding, standards, and guidance that enable consistent, high-quality content publishing at scale
  • Drive stakeholder partnership & alignment: Partner across Corporate Communications, PWM, Operations, and business teams to understand needs, align priorities, and translate requirements into practical solutions
  • Leverage insights and analytics to inform decisions: Monitor intranet analytics and search behavior, using insights to identify friction points and recommend improvements to enhance findability and adoption
  • Deliver reporting and adoption insights: Develop dashboards and performance reporting (Power BI, Looker Studio, GA4) and communicate trends, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Drive adoption through enablement and feedback loops: Support adoption through training, user feedback, and continuous improvement cycles that address pain points and reinforce best practices
  • Support corporate website initiatives: Execute content updates and page builds in Optimizely CMS; support SEO fundamentals, tagging, and performance reporting for quarterly website review

What You'll Bring to Baird:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in SharePoint intranet management, digital platforms, or a related content and platform role
  • Advanced expertise in SharePoint Online, including site architecture, page management, permissions, and publishing workflows (core requirement)
  • Strong experience working with Optimizely CMS (or similar CMS) for website content updates and builds
  • Advanced proficiency in digital analytics and reporting tools (GA4, Looker Studio, Power BI) with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for troubleshooting and collaboration with technical partners
  • Demonstrated success operating with high autonomy and accountability, stakeholder management and influencing, and ability to translate business needs into scalable platform solutions and repeatable processes
