Job Title: Data Governance Analyst

Position Overview:

Seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise data governance practices. The ideal candidate will ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across organizational systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in defining and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Monitor and improve data quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency)
Collaborate with business and IT teams to enforce data governance practices
Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation
Support data stewardship activities and ensure accountability for data assets
Identify data issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
Participate in data audits and governance reporting
Promote data governance awareness and best practices across the organization

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of data governance principles and data quality frameworks
Experience with SQL for data analysis and validation
Knowledge of data management concepts (metadata, lineage, stewardship)
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
