The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is seeking a visionary Data Architect to serve as the primary designer of a high-performance data ecosystem. This is a high-impact, direct-hire leadership role where you will bridge the gap between complex business intelligence and robust technical execution. You will be responsible for defining the blueprint of our client’s enterprise data strategy, ensuring that information assets are not only secure and scalable but also serve as a catalyst for innovation. This position offers a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 and provides the flexibility of a remote work environment (with occasional travel to the Greater Orlando area).

What You’ll Do

  • Architect a comprehensive enterprise data roadmap that harmonizes information flow with overarching corporate goals and IT initiatives.

  • Construct sophisticated conceptual, logical, and physical data models to empower advanced analytics, modern applications, and unified lakehouse environments.

  • Engineer the framework for high-scale data ingestion, designing integration pathways and storage solutions that handle massive throughput with ease.

  • Champion organizational excellence by establishing rigorous data standards, architectural guardrails, and governance protocols.

  • Synthesize emerging cloud technologies and modern data tooling into actionable recommendations to boost system reliability and cost-efficiency.

  • Sync with multidisciplinary teams—including cloud infrastructure and software engineering—to ensure seamless data interoperability across the tech stack.

  • Facilitate data integrity by partnering with security and governance leads to implement master data management (MDM) and precise lineage tracking.

  • Translate high-level business requirements into technical specifications that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Direct the technical oversight of development cycles, ensuring that final deployments remain faithful to the original architectural vision.

  • Optimize existing database environments through proactive audits, refactoring, and performance tuning to maximize ROI and speed.

What You Bring

  • Citizen Status: Active U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the requirements of federal contract work.

  • Foundational Expertise: Over 7 years of deep-seated experience in enterprise-grade data design, engineering, and architectural leadership.

  • Dual Capability: A rare blend of high-level architectural thinking and hands-on programming prowess, rooted in a strong background in software development.

  • Database Mastery: Expert-level command of SQL and NoSQL environments, alongside a mastery of modern storage patterns.

  • Cloud Proficiency: Extensive experience building on cloud-native platforms, with a specific focus on the Azure ecosystem.

  • Data Modeling: Advanced skills in modeling methodologies and professional diagramming software to map complex information structures.

  • Integration Skills: Proven success in deploying robust ETL/ELT frameworks and real-time streaming services (such as Kafka or Event Hubs).

  • Champion the implementation of Azure Fabric and OneLake, providing the expert guidance necessary to optimize these emerging technologies.

  • Develop high-quality code in C#/.NET 9, maintaining a boots-on-the-ground presence within the development lifecycle.

  • Tooling Familiarity: Exposure to industry-leading platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, or Synapse.

  • Future-Ready Mindset: Knowledge of AI/ML feature stores and advanced analytics pipelines to support machine learning initiatives.

  • Communication: The ability to articulate complex technical hurdles as clear business value to non-technical partners.

  • Education/Certification: Preferred credentials include Azure Data Engineer or Architect certifications (or equivalent AWS recognitions).
