We have an immediate opportunity for a Lead Data Engineer to join the Network Analytics team in Englewood, Colorado, working onsite from day one. This is a 12-month contract role with an immediate start, . This position requires sponsor free candidates. The Lead Data Engineer will play a critical role in executing advanced analytics to enhance security and operational efficiency across enterprise networks, with a strong focus on building reliable, scalable data platforms.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Spark to ensure high data quality and availability for analytics and reporting. You will implement monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD deployment pipelines to support reliable data operations, and integrate data from diverse sources such as APIs, flat files, relational databases, and distributed file systems. The role involves executing the full analytics lifecycle, including data exploration and grooming, algorithm industrialization, model prototyping and validation, and applying machine learning, graph/network analytics, and generative AI techniques to build automated, data-driven solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate analytic products into production architectures and clearly communicate insights to drive business action.
To be successful in this position, one needs to have 8 10 years of experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, particularly Spark. Expertise in ETL development, data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and SQL is required, along with familiarity with NoSQL databases. Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills, experience with machine learning and MLOps concepts, and the ability to work in high-performance languages such as Scala (preferred) or Java are essential. AWS experience is highly desirable. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a solid theoretical foundation in analytics and modeling techniques, and a passion for learning and mentoring others. A Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in a quantitative field is preferred. Interviews may be conducted either face-to-face or via video.
