Summary

Role name: Java full stack developer

Work Location: Waukesha, WI

This is a platform team that does backend development for MR Software for NPI. We require a contractor with this skillset:

Experience working with Java/JEE, Swagger/OpenAPI and Springboot/Spring
Experience working with BDD/Cucumber, GIT, Artifactory, Gradle/Maven and Docker
Experience with Unix / Linux based programming
Experience working on complex applications that interface with physical devices (ideally)
Experience developing and working in Microservices based software architectureJob

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
Build and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
Implement microservices architecture patterns, including service discovery, API gateway, circuit breakers, and resilience mechanisms.
Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) to deploy and manage applications.
Develop containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Ensure compliance with security, quality, and coding standards.
Work within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
