The Opportunity:

We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence.

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here, you'll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with coding in sof tware programming languages, including SQL, Python, Scala, Spark or Java
• Experience with building scalable ETL or ELT data pipelines working with any combination of REST API, databases, flat files, or JSON / XLM data for reporting and analytics
• Knowledge of different database types, including SQL, NoSQL, or Graph
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment and adapt to change priorities
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in performing data integration, building data pipelines, or working with data manipulation tools, or 10+ years of experience in performing data integration, building data pipelines, or working with data manipulation tools in lieu of degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with data management principles in sof tware design patterns
• Experience with data modeling, data transformation, data validation, and data analysis
• Experience with data engineering tools, including Apache NiFi, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Databricks, or Snowflake
• Experience with DevOps principles and CI / CD tools, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Nexus, or Artifactory

Clearance :

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
