Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join the Solutions and Platform Advisory team. The role involves shaping cloud strategy, designing enterprise solutions, leading Google Cloud migration assessments, developing target-state architectures and creating cloud transformation roadmaps for enterprise clients.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), enterprise architecture, cloud migration, security, infrastructure automation and pre-sales solutioning, along with excellent client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead client workshops, cloud-readiness assessments, infrastructure evaluations and executive briefings to define Google Cloud adoption strategies and transformation roadmaps.
• Own end-to-end technical solution architecture for pre-sales engagements, including effort estimation, cost analysis, Bills of Materials (BOM), Statements of Work (SOW), RFP responses and technical proposals.
• Develop business cases, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses and Return on Investment (ROI) models.
• Design enterprise Google Cloud landing zones, including resource hierarchy, IAM, Organization Policies, billing structures, centralized logging, monitoring and governance.
• Architect enterprise networking and security solutions using Shared VPC, hub-and-spoke architectures, Cloud Interconnect, HA VPN, Cloud Armor, VPC Service Controls, Cloud KMS and Security Command Center.
• Design modern cloud-native solutions using GKE, Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Spanner and other Google Cloud Platform services.
• Develop data and analytics architectures using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage, while identifying opportunities for Vertex AI and generative AI.
• Design high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions, including RPO/RTO definition, backup strategies and disaster-recovery testing.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation and platform engineering standards using Terraform, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry and GitOps.
• Implement FinOps and cloud cost-governance strategies, including rightsizing, budgets, billing analysis and cost optimization.
• Provide architecture governance, conduct technical design reviews, mentor engineering teams and develop reusable reference architectures and solution accelerators

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology, with significant solution architecture and solutioning experience.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, applications or cloud technologies, including at least 5 years of architecting and delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Current Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (mandatory).
• Strong experience designing Google Cloud Platform landing zones, resource hierarchies, IAM, governance, networking and enterprise security controls.
• Proven experience leading large-scale migrations of servers, databases and applications to Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of GKE, Kubernetes, containers, serverless architectures and application modernization.
• Hands-on expertise in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, Cloud Build and GitOps practices.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash or Go.
• Experience with cloud security, compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA and GDPR.
• Experience in consulting, pre-sales solutioning, RFP responses, SOW development, effort estimation and technical proposal preparation.
• Strong understanding of TCO, ROI, business-case development and cloud cost optimization.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives and engineering teams.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base salary ranges from $175,000 to $225,000, depending on experience, skills, qualifications and geographic location.
