Senior Data Analyst

Our client is looking for a highly capable Senior Data Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business and data. This role will work closely with executive leadership, including the CFO, to translate business questions into clear data requirements and actionable insights. The right person will bring both technical depth and strong business instincts, helping define KPIs, validate data sources, and ensure the organization has a trusted single source of truth. This is a high-visibility role where the analyst becomes a key partner to both business stakeholders and data engineers, helping the company turn complex data into meaningful decisions.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: Newport Beach, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $150,000 $160,000 base salary

What You ll Do:


  • Serve as the key bridge between business leaders and data engineering teams, translating business needs into clear technical requirements
  • Define and maintain critical KPIs while ensuring consistency, governance, and a single source of truth across the organization
  • Analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data issues, working with engineering teams and external partners to resolve inconsistencies or structural problems
  • Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and design dashboards that deliver meaningful operational and financial insights
  • Manipulate and structure data to support reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or similar analytics platforms

What Gets You the Job:


  • Strong experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics professional working closely with both business stakeholders and data engineering teams
  • Ability to define KPIs, validate data sources, and ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting environments
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Solid technical understanding of data structures, data pipelines, and how analytics systems are built and maintained
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business insights
