Come join the Lockheed Martin Space Radio Frequency (RF) Talent Center (RFTC) team in Littleton, CO and shape the future! You can join our mission and contribute to challenging programs in support of Space Vehicles, Hypersonics, Human Space Flight and Interplanetary Missions, Missile Defense, and more.

As an advanced-career RF Engineer with Lockheed Martin Space, you will perform the following:

Support multiple phases of RF product lifecycle including design, development, test, and deployment
Engage with other leaders and Subject Matter Experts to participate in design reviews and provide feedback/input on RF systems and hardware designs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful development and deployment of RF systems and hardware
Example assignments include Design, test, and troubleshoot RF hardware systems, including prototype and deliverable hardware.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in design, RF hardware systems, prototype development and/or developing deliverable hardware.
Experience with M-Code and GPS receivers
Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and analysis
Experience in design of active and passive RF hardware, performing cascaded analyses, link and gain/loss budgets, and using simulation tools to evaluate hardware designs.
RF performance simulation (ADS, AWR, SystemVue, or equivalent) and Full-Wave simulation experience (CST, HFSS, or equivalent)

Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to ====.
Qualified applicants must possess at minimum a currently Active Secret security clearance to be considered.
Selected candidates will be required to obtain, and maintain, a government issued Top Secret for long term employment on this program.

Desired skills

Significant experience in Performance / trade analysis, RF Communications Systems, Antenna Design, RF Test/Evaluation, and System-level RF performance analysis
Ability to engage with leaders, subject matter experts, and individual contributors to develop successful RF communication systems and hardware designs
Ability to activity listen and collaborate with cross-functional teams
RF Signal Processing experience desired
Beam formation experience desired
Antenna Multipaction / Corona experience desired
Matlab and/or Python Scripting and analysis desired
Familiarity with RF test software and tools
RF prototyping experience
RF Systems Engineer background in RF PNT, NS, and TT&C systems
Fundamental understanding of antenna theory and design
Understands the effects of dynamic antenna gain and phase changes on GPS receiver performance
RF design experience including knowledge of power amplifiers, microwave integrated circuit design and RF measurement techniques
Experience with RF parts selection and evaluation
Demonstrated understanding of RF test equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generator, etc.)
Ability to design and plan for designs to experience flight environments (vibration, temperature, multipaction, corona)
Vendor interface experience, including evaluating vendor solutions
Vendor spec writing and procurement experience

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $167,000 - $289,340. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
