Circuit Board Test Technician 3 A Circuit Board Test Technician 3 is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex printed circuit boards used in electronic products. This role typically involves diagnosing advanced electrical issues, interpreting schematics, and ensuring boards meet quality and performance standards before they are released for production or shipment.

Job Summary - Perform tests in accordance with established test procedures and work instructions.
- Document all testing activities and accurately record test results.
- Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions at the component and subassembly level.
- Solder various electronic components onto printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies.
- Wire and solder prototypes and other complex assemblies with unique or non-standard designs according to specifications.
- Assemble chassis components using a variety of mechanical hardware.
- Assemble electromechanical devices using a range of tools and hardware.
- Follow all general requirements and expectations for team members, including safety and quality standards.
- Properly handle, label, and dispose of hazardous waste generated in the work area in accordance with regulations.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required to support production and engineering needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications - Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Basic Microsoft Access skills, as required by location.
- Ability to operate electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, and digital volt meters.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering assembly drawings.
- Ability to read and understand production drawings and work instructions.
- Basic soldering skills with the ability to work on electronic components and assemblies.
- Ability to build and assemble electronic products and subassemblies.
- Demonstrated competencies outlined in the General Requirements of Team Members.
Required Experience and Education - Associates degree in electronics technology preferred, or 3 or more years in manufacturing setting with knowledge of products
Licenses, Certifications, etc.- IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) certification required or must be obtained upon hire.
- J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies) certification required or must be obtained upon hire.
- IPC-7711/7721 (Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies) certification required or must be obtained upon hire.
- ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) certification/training required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) or Hazardous Waste Handling training required or provided upon hire.
- Safety training certifications as required by company policy and OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any additional site-specific certifications as required for production or defense/regulated work environments.
