Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Application Architect to guide the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications. This role is responsible for architecting, building, and implementing solutions while directing the full development lifecycle from concept through delivery and overseeing the work of all technical contributors. The position requires collaboration with a blended team of full time and contract developers, adherence to SDLC best practices, and alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in .NET technologies and relational databases, along with strong leadership and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple software development teams across enterprise applications
Oversee the full software development life-cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and support
Building robust, custom business applications from the ground-up/scratch
Collaborate with program area stakeholders to understand business needs and help translate them into technical solutions
Provide hands-on technical guidance in various technologies such as .NET and relational SQL databases
Experience building and leading development of ETL, data-centralization for reporting consumption
Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews and best practices
Develop and track project plans, timelines, and budgets
Drive agile delivery by breaking work into increments, participating in sprint ceremonies, mentoring developers, reviewing code, and serving as the technical point of contact for the project team.
Advance AI assisted development by using GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding, improve quality, automate repetitive tasks, and guide the team in adopting AI enhanced workflows and best practices.
Build and optimize containerized services by creating Dockerbased environments, producing efficient and secure images, and aligning solutions with agency standards.
