C++ Developer /Embedded Engineer-ONSITE IN BOSTON

We are hiring for a Senior C++ Software Engineer for one of our client in Boston area, a global organization operating in a highly regulated, technology-driven environment. The role will focus on the design, development, enhancement, and support of complex software applications and systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in C++ development, solid knowledge of object-oriented design, and experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB. Exposure to embedded systems and Versant Object Database would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using C++.
• Apply strong Object-Oriented Programming and Design principles to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Develop and support integrations between applications, databases, and other system components.
• Work with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB for data access, queries, integration, and application support.
• Participate in software design discussions, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, QA, product, and technical teams.
• Support existing products while contributing to new product development and feature enhancements.
• Follow established software development, quality, security, and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on C++ development experience.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with debugging, memory management, multithreading, and application performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
• Experience working through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• • Experience with Versant Object Database / Object-Oriented Database technologies.
  • Experience developing applications for embedded systems or device-based environments.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience integrating application software with hardware, devices, or other system components.
  • Experience working in a regulated, product-engineering, medical-device, industrial, or similarly quality-focused environment would be beneficial.
