Senior Business Analyst AI & Platform Center of Excellence (CoE)
Location:- San Jose, CA
Hybrid Role / 3 days onsite
Duration:- 12 Months+
Who has strong experience with AI and a center of excellence? Anyone who has been part of a large AI data center knows how to run workshops, demos, and similar activities.
The client is seeking a strategic practitioner who can operationalize AI value, not just theorize about models. They need someone to build and run a Center of Excellence (CoE) that governs model selection, cost, risk, and ROI across hybrid cloud and data center environments. This person must prioritize use cases using business impact vs. feasibility matrices, not hype. They are expected to decide when to use RAG, fine-tuning, or Agentic AI based on data freshness, accuracy needs, and workflow complexity and defend those decisions with POCs. The role demands a cost-first mindset: optimizing token usage, GPU utilization, and replacing overkill fine-tuning with RAG to cut expenses by 30 50%. Governance is non-negotiable implementing model registries, audit trails, hallucination detection, and bias monitoring. Crucially, they must translate AI into business language for non-technical stakeholders, using ROI formulas, live demos, and before/after metrics. The ideal candidate handles conflicting priorities (business speed vs. IT control vs. finance cost) with structured frameworks and can deliver a high-impact POC in two weeks. Finally, they must align with client s hybrid cloud reality designing AI that scales on-prem and in the cloud, with centralized governance to prevent model sprawl. In short, they want a business-savvy AI leader who drives measurable ROI, responsible scaling, and enterprise-wide adoption through a pragmatic CoE.
Center of Excellence Background: Demonstrated ability to design and document Operating Models and Governance Frameworks for enterprise technology adoption (specifically AI/ML or Cloud).
