Oracle Cloud Security Consultant

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Security SME/Consultant to assess, redesign, and optimize Oracle security architecture, access controls, and role-based security structures. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring someone who can quickly assess the existing environment, identify security gaps and inefficiencies, and implement practical, sustainable solutions.

The consultant will also work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and senior leadership, providing expert guidance and executive-level communication throughout the engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and remediate issues related to Oracle security architecture, access controls, and user security.
• Review, redesign, and optimize user-level security matrices and role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks.
• Evaluate existing Oracle security configurations, setups, and governance processes.
• Configure and manage Oracle roles, responsibilities, privileges, user access, and security controls.
• Identify and address Segregation of Duties (SoD) risks, excessive access, and compliance gaps.
• Develop recommendations to strengthen security, governance, access management, and long-term sustainability.
• Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership to understand security requirements and operational impacts.
• Document security designs, role mappings, access structures, and security management processes.
• Provide executive-level updates, recommendations, and presentations to leadership.
• Serve as the primary Oracle Security SME, providing guidance on best practices, risks, and implementation strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Oracle Security Administration and Configuration.
• Strong experience designing and managing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models within Oracle environments.
• Proven experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting user-level security matrices and access structures.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle security setup, user provisioning, roles, responsibilities, and privilege management.
• Strong understanding of access governance, Segregation of Duties (SoD), security controls, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently, quickly assess complex environments, and implement practical security solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
