Lead Automation Engineer (AWS, IaC, CI/CD) - Remote - 67262

One of our clients is looking for a Lead Automation Engineer (AWS, IaC, CI/CD) to join their team remotely.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Design and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm Charts
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD preferred, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
• Automate AWS operations using Ansible, Lambda, and event-driven services
• Implement configuration management using Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
• Integrate security, compliance, and code scanning tools (Nessus, CMDBs, etc.) into pipelines
• Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, and self-healing systems (CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Support automated remediations and CIS/STIG/SCSEM compliance
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops teams on release management and reliability improvements
• Perform root cause analysis and continuously improve automation and pipelines

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree + 8 years of experience (or 12 years total experience)
• Proven experience as a DevOps / Automation Engineer
• Strong AWS automation experience (SSM, Lambda, IaC)
• Hands-on scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell, YAML
• Expertise with Terraform, REST APIs, and Git-based workflows
• CI/CD pipeline design, testing, and validation (GitLab preferred)
• Container and orchestration experience (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• able to obtain and maintain Public Trust 6C

Preferred:

• Active Public Trust or Secret clearance
• DevOps, IaC, or SRE certifications
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
