Python API / Microservices Lead / Solution Architect

Role purpose
|
Define the target backend architecture and technical governance for the Campaign modernization, ensuring secure, scalable FastAPI-based services and alignment with the hybrid coexistence strategy.
|
Key responsibilities
Define target microservices architecture, API standards, service contracts, and integration patterns.
Own non-functional design across security, observability, data flow, resiliency, and performance.
Guide solution reviews, ADR decisions, and technical risk mitigation for the Phase 1 campaign journey modernization.
Lead architecture alignment for legacy coexistence, auth bridge, JWT-based access, and phased cutover patterns.
Support discovery and rule extraction from legacy Perl logic, database usage, integrations, and access controls.
Partner with DevOps and engineering leads on deployment, rollout, rollback, and production readiness.
Required skills and experience
Strong backend architecture using Python / FastAPI or equivalent modern API frameworks.
API governance, authentication and authorization design, integration patterns, observability, and cloud-native delivery.
Experience with strangler-fig modernization, legacy decomposition, and high-availability service design.
Comfort working across data, security, DevOps, and performance engineering concerns.
Experience profile: 10+ years in solution architecture or lead engineering roles, including modernization of legacy or monolithic platforms.
