Middleware Consultant (Onsite)
Primary Location: Toronto, Ontario

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Middleware Consultant for our premier client in Toronto, Ontario.

Education and Experience
Must Haves: 5+ years experience:

Strong knowledge of J2EE, OC4J, and WebLogic Server.
Experience with XML configuration, deployment descriptors, and Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JAXB).
Familiarity with Oracle tools (SmartUpgrade, JDeveloper).
Understanding of middleware, JDBC, and enterprise integration.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

Deployment Descriptor Conversion: Replace OC4J-specific files (e.g., orion-web.xml, orion-ejb-jar.xml) with WebLogic equivalents.
Library & Class Loading Management: Configure application libraries and XML parsers to avoid conflicts.
External Configuration Handling: Use WebLogic deployment plans for loading custom configuration files.
Data Source Migration: Create and configure JDBC data sources in WebLogic.
Tool Utilization: Leverage Oracle SmartUpgrade and JDeveloper for automated migration and compatibility checks.
Domain Reconfiguration: Update WebLogic domains using Reconfiguration Wizard or WLST scripting.
Testing & Deployment: Validate application functionality post-migration and ensure performance standards.
