Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a highly-collaborative and versatile Engineering Senior Manager to serve as Engineering Integration/ Operation Leader and support our Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) Division located in one our major division sites, including El Segundo, CA, Seal Beach, CA, Huntington Beach, CA, St. Charles, MO, Huntsville, AL, Kennedy Space Center, FL, or New Orleans, LA.

The Engineering Integration/Operation Leader is expected to partner across BDS Divisions, SI&WS site leadership and Enterprise Engineering teams to establish and ensure operational excellence to run a stable and healthy SI&WS engineering organization. This role requires the ability to work in an extremely dynamic environment, quickly produce results and influence leaders across the various site to effectively lead in this role.

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee implementing Engineering Competitiveness and Affordability Initiatives across the division, e.g. Indirect EAC Optimization, Lean, (OPD, Agile), Dev Ex, etc.
  • Manage Engineering Facilities Activities and Manage Engineering Overhead Budgets.
  • Support the SIWS Division Chief Engineer on key strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Integrate and develop strategy for utilizing the SIWS Engineering Overhead budget to support Capability Development, Infrastructure Maintenance and Employee Engagement Activities
  • Coordinate with ABU rates leaders/engineering pools focals and assist in managing/integrating Engineering impacts to SIWS ABU Rates to meet the division's Long Range Business Plan
  • Communicate SIWS Engineering Overhead and Rates status to multiple levels of Executive Leadership across SIWS sites / pools
  • Oversee Engineering Facilities Planning for LRBP and Emergent Requests
  • Develop division level metrics and KPIs and maintain metric dashboard
  • Serve as Lead Technical Integrator (LTI) for SIWS Division - coordinating strategy and execution with segment LTIs as well as BDS and Phantom Works Technology stakeholders. Includes coordination of IRAD and IAD spending and priorities.
  • Serve as Safety Management System Integrator for SIWS, work with function/division leaders across BDS divisions to integrate and manage activities in the SMS.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance Post Start is required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 10+ years of engineering management experience, including senior management
  • 10+ years of experience communicating, collaborating, and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Current U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance highly desirable
  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
  • 5+ years of experience leading, coaching and developing others (including those who are not your direct reports)
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Experience in and knowledgeable about Boeing financial/rate structure
  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply
