Technical Program Manager
W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $60 - $70 per hour
Location: Sunnyvale, CA - Hybrid Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support the planning, execution, and delivery of software engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate has prior experience working within our engineering environment, understands our internal development workflows and tooling, and excels at driving cross-functional programs from inception through delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex software engineering programs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet business objectives.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
- Drive effective communication between engineering, product management, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Utilize our internal tools to track bugs, issues, project status, and release readiness.
- Monitor project health through metrics, dashboards, and regular status reporting.
- Facilitate project planning sessions, sprint planning, release planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Identify execution risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Support engineering teams in improving delivery processes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1+ years of program or project management experience within internal engineering tools and workflows.
- 2+ years of experience managing software development projects or technical programs.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience managing project schedules, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with distributed engineering teams.
- Strong technical understanding of modern software development practices.
