Senior Full Stack .NET Developer – SQL Server & Selenium
Florham Park, NJ (Hybrid 3 days per week on-site)
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications within a large-scale business environment.
This is a hands-on development position requiring strong experience across the full application stack, including C#/.NET, front-end development, SQL Server, and Selenium test automation. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded developer who can build functionality across the user interface, application/business logic, and database layers while also contributing to automated testing and overall application quality.
This individual should be comfortable owning development throughout the full software development lifecycle—from requirements and development through testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
Essential Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic using C# and .NET.
- Build and enhance responsive, user-facing application components using modern front-end technologies.
- Design, develop, and optimize solutions within Microsoft SQL Server, including complex queries and stored procedures.
- Develop and maintain Selenium automated tests supporting functional and regression testing.
- Ensure application functionality is tested across the UI, application, API, and database layers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the full technology stack.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, business partners, and other technical teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and testable code following established engineering standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, test coverage, and maintainability.
- Support application releases and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with significant experience developing full-stack enterprise applications.
- Strong hands-on development experience with C# and Microsoft .NET, including .NET 10.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs, services, and backend application components.
- Hands-on experience with modern front-end development technologies.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong SQL development experience, including:
- Complex queries
- Stored procedures
- Database design
- Query optimization
- Performance tuning
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Selenium test automation.
- Experience testing web applications and incorporating automated testing into the development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of full-stack application architecture and the interaction between the UI, APIs, business logic, and database layers.
- Experience troubleshooting applications across multiple layers of the technology stack.
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing Selenium automation using C#/.NET.
- Experience with React, Angular, or another modern JavaScript front-end framework.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with unit, integration, functional, and regression testing.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Previous experience supporting payroll, financial services, human capital management, or other enterprise business applications.
- Previous experience within the client's environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to independently own functionality from development through testing and production implementation.
