BUSINESS PROBLEM, CONTEXT & INITIATIVE DESCRIPTION

Our F500 Pharma client is seeking a strong Project Manager who will provide project management leadership activities supporting manufacturing technical transfer and commercialization. This individual will work across technical, operational, quality, supply chain, and business functions to establish integrated project plans, manage milestones and risks, facilitate decision-making, and drive execution across internal and external stakeholders.

This individual will support activities spanning technology transfer, process performance qualification (PPQ), batch release, scheduling, facility design and construction delivery, commissioning and qualification (C&Q) coordination, supply chain coordination, and commercialization readiness.

End-to-end project management in this role is critical for manufacturing technical transfer activities to help ensure the reliable provision of externally manufactured APIs, intermediates, and starting materials, while upholding a commitment to safety and consistent quality.

$70-75/hr

Responsibilities:
DUTIES / EXPECTATIONS OF THIS ROLE
  • Develop, maintain, and execute integrated cross-functional project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Establish realistic timelines and critical paths for complex technical transfer and commercialization activities.
  • Coordinate project activities across technical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, and other functional teams.
  • Monitor progress against commitments and proactively identify schedule risks, resource constraints, and execution issues.
  • Establish and maintain clear project scope, deliverables, milestones, and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain risk registers, issue logs, dependency trackers, and decision logs.
  • Integrate MSAT technical transfer project plans with other applicable internal cross-functional plans
  • Coordinate project activities and dependencies with Contract Manufacturing (CM) operational plans and external manufacturing partners.
  • Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies that could affect manufacturing readiness, batch release, shipment, or supply timelines.
  • Generate concise, leadership-ready status reports, project insights, and data-driven recommendations to support decision-making and prioritization.


Experience Requirements:
MUST HAVES - QUALIFICATION SUMMARY
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Science, Engineering, Project Management, or related
  • Minimum 3-4+ years of experience (Preferred 5+ years of experience) in pharmaceutical manufacturing, manufacturing operations, technology transfer, technical operations, or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience independently developing and executing complex project plans and schedules
  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-company stakeholders in a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of project planning, milestone management, critical-path analysis, risk management, and change control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective-action mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and leadership.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a fast-changing environment with multiple priorities and competing timelines.
