Position: Functional Business Analyst
Location: Carlsbad, California (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
📌 Project Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Functional Business Analyst to join the Global Operations team in Carlsbad, CA.
The selected candidate will support Distribution, Warehouse, and Logistics business functions and associated enterprise systems, including:
Manhattan WMOS (2010 & 2018)
Oracle EnterpriseOne (E1 ERP)
SAP
BAAN
QAD Precision / TRAX-TMS
In addition to Level 2 production support, the role will contribute to strategic initiatives including:
Logistics Control Tower
Machine Automation
Transportation projects
Power BI reporting initiatives
Network upgrade programs
🎯 Role Scope & Deliverables
🔹 Requirements Gathering, Design & Development
Conduct stakeholder workshops and working sessions to gather requirements.
Develop comprehensive documentation including:
Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs)
System Requirement Specifications (SRS)
Act as liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Support software upgrades and enhancement initiatives.
Design scalable system solutions aligned with enterprise IT architecture standards.
Develop:
Data models
Process flow diagrams
Interface specifications
Collaborate with system analysts, architects, vendors, and internal development teams.
Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
🔹 Support & Maintenance
Provide Level 2 production support (incident/break-fix).
Troubleshoot system issues and provide sustainable solutions.
Execute:
Functional Testing
Regression Testing
Integration Testing
User Acceptance Testing
Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures using:
Oracle PL/SQL
MS SQL Server Management Studio
Maintain SQL scripts for test data preparation and defect retesting.
Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance.
🔹 Training & Documentation
Conduct end-user and technical training sessions.
Develop user guides and system documentation.
Facilitate knowledge transfer across cross-functional teams.
