About the Role
The Release Governance Analyst will support the Grid Technology Solutions (GTS) organization, which manages critical SCADA, ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System), and grid operations technologies across multiple utility jurisdictions.
This role serves as a key member of the Release Governance and Delivery team, helping coordinate large-scale system deployments, upgrades, and production releases. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, executive communication capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to drive accountability across a complex network of IT and business stakeholders. The analyst will act as the central coordinator for release readiness activities, ensuring leadership has clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and production release readiness.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance of GTS release management practices
- Coordinate and support release management activities for major technology deployments and sustainment upgrades
- Track and drive completion of release criteria across multiple teams
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure action items are documented, assigned, and driven to closure
- Facilitate release readiness assessments, go/no-go reviews, and executive decision-making forums
- Develop and maintain release readiness dashboards, action logs, risk registers, deployment trackers, and lessons-learned repositories.
- Coordinate the development, review, and approval of Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and deployment plans
- Identify, communicate, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies impacting release readiness
- Develop executive-ready PowerPoint presentations, status reports, and leadership communications
- Provide coordination support during planned release weekends and occasional after-hours deployment activities.
Required Skills:
- Graduation from a 4-year university.
- 5-8 years of experience supporting complex technology programs, releases, deployments, or consulting engagements
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrates initiative, a strong sense of urgency, and the determination to drive work to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across large, cross-functional teams
- Strong executive presentation and PowerPoint development capabilities
- Comfortable facilitating meetings and presenting status updates to leaders and stakeholders
- Ability to proactively drive follow-ups, facilitate resolution of open items, and ensure commitments are tracked through completion.
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, action items, and governance processes
- Experience in consulting, release governance, or large-scale technology program coordination strongly preferred.
- Experience in utility operations, grid technology, SCADA, ADMS, OMS, or other critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable
- Experience with consulting, process development and change management are highly desirable
- Willingness to work onsite, travel as needed, and support occasional weekend deployment activities in other states.
