Position:  Embedded Software Test Engineer
Location: Burlington, MA
Long Term

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans for embedded and mobile systems in MedTech applications.
Manage and mentor a team of verification engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Design and implement automated and manual test cases for embedded devices
Create and maintain test protocols  in compliance with FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and other relevant standards
Participate in risk management activities to identify software-related hazards and mitigations
Define test coverage requirements based on software requirements and risk analysis
Design detailed test cases for functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing
Create test specifications that ensure traceability to software requirements
Develop automated test scripts for embedded systems using appropriate test frameworks
Design test environments and fixtures that simulate real-world usage conditions
Ensure verification processes align with medical device regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of defects, ensuring traceability and documentation.
Work closely with software, hardware, and QA teams to align verification activities with development milestones.
Select and maintain verification tools, frameworks, and environments for efficient testing.
Generate verification reports, metrics, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
+ 5 years in a leadership role for verification teams in MedTech
Proficient in verification of embedded products
Proficient with medical device standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
