Job Title: Senior SAP Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) Consultant – Fashion & Apparel

Role Summary
Client is seeking a Senior SAP Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) Consultant to support global fashion and apparel clients with highly complex configurable product models. This role focuses on designing and delivering scalable SAP S/4HANA AVC solutions that enable sophisticated style, color, size, seasonality, and customization requirements across omnichannel commerce, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
As part of the fashion and retail practice, you will work closely with client business teams and Wipro delivery leadership to enable best‑in‑class product configuration experiences while ensuring performance, data integrity, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Variant Configuration & Product Modeling
Lead end‑to‑end design and implementation of SAP Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) for fashion and apparel products
Model highly complex configurable scenarios including:
Styles, colors, sizes, fits, and seasonal assortments
Regional variants and market-specific attributes
Customization and personalization options
Design and manage characteristics, classes, object dependencies, and constraint‑based configuration logic
Convert intricate fashion product rules into efficient, reusable, and high‑performance AVC models
SAP S/4HANA Integration & End‑to‑End Processes
Integrate AVC with core SAP S/4HANA processes including:
Sales & Distribution (SD) for configurable sales orders
Pricing for variant‑driven pricing and condition techniques
Manufacturing / PP for BOM and routing determination
Supply Chain and fulfillment processes
Ensure accurate BOM explosion, variant‑specific manufacturing instructions, and logistics readiness
Support integration with downstream systems such as eCommerce platforms, OMS, WMS, and 3PL providers
Fashion Industry Enablement
Support fashion‑specific business scenarios including:
Seasonal product launches and drops
Line planning and assortment complexity
Omnichannel and direct‑to‑consumer models
Ensure configurations align with merchandising, sourcing, and supply chain constraints
Optimize configuration performance for high‑volume, high‑SKU fashion environments
Solution Delivery
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, representing clients best practices and delivery standards
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Functional Leads, and Technical teams across global delivery models
Participate in design workshops, solution reviews, and client governance forums
Contribute to accelerators, templates, and reusable configuration assets within the fashion practice
Governance, Quality & Support
Ensure configuration data integrity, version control, and transport discipline
Lead unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support for AVC components
Troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration issues during testing, go‑live, and hypercare
Support ongoing enhancements without disrupting live business operations
Required Qualifications
8+ years of SAP experience with strong specialization in Variant Configuration
Proven hands‑on experience with SAP Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) on S/4HANA
Strong understanding of configurable product scenarios within fashion, apparel, or footwear industries
Experience integrating AVC with SD, pricing, PP, and supply chain processes
Ability to translate complex business requirements into technically sound AVC designs
Preferred Experience
Experience delivering SAP solutions for global fashion or lifestyle brands
Exposure to PLM‑to‑ERP integration and product lifecycle processes
Support for omnichannel and eCommerce configuration scenarios
Experience working in global, multi‑season, multi‑brand environments
